A Cure to the Hopper Problem

A fix for loaders that will not keep up.

If you have ever held a 98 Custom or played a game with one, then you’ve probably noticed that the hopper has a little bit of a wobble. For some people it doesn’t bother them, but for others it can be extremely vexing. There are, of course, a few simple solutions.

The way I prefer to fix it is to take a simple o-ring (if you have lots of extra barrel plugs they usually have some o-rings on them that will work, if you can get them off) and fit it onto the elbow that connects to the gun. (Insert photo)

Another way that is effective is to take a rubber band and wrap it around the elbow and right above the fore grip. Note: make sure that the rubber band is tight.

You can also slip some cardboard in between where the elbow connects to the gun. I am not exactly sure where or how to make it stay there because I have not tried this method.

The last way, that I know of, is to take some thin tape and wrap it around the feed neck where the o-ring would go in the first example. Keep putting on a little at a time and trying it to make sure you get just enough on, but not too much. This way you can also take off some smaller strips if you need to, until you get it right.

There are, I’m sure, other ways to fix this but these, I am almost certain, will work. Also please note that neither this website nor I are responsible for any damage YOU might do to your marker.
